Thus, we do recommend to install the latest app version from APK: Perfect Player 1.4.8.1

I guess, you can still use the app with Full version while it’s installed on your device.
Otherwise, Full version on Fire TV device is only available when install the app from Amazom appstore. As long as, Amazon removed the app from their appstore that’s not available. It’s not our fault or desire. Hope, you can ask Amazon for refund.
As was mentioned in the post, some new “Full version” features will be available for Fire TV users in upcoming updates.
Good point since we basically paid twice for it, couldn’t you post. A full version link that we can sideload with a side loader? Since you plan to do this anyway soon?
To nick man so I installed the latest apk on the amazon fire 4k and got into sideloaded but I can activate the full version I have paid for both the google store and amazon one- I understand the amazon issue, but anyways to get the full version for fire tv amazon users? Tried yesterday to download it from this page and it wouldn’t work…. even when it is successfully installed on a firetv device it won’t populate on the home screen or in ” recents” and can only be launched from inside settings and then managed installed apps….
Same here, it’s not on home screen. I made a huge mistake and uninstalled the order version to use the newer, not it’s gone!!
When I followed the link above it downloaded on to my Amazon tablet but the fire stick😣

the ads are moderate but still intrusive. for those of us that have paid for the full version perhaps even more than once (as i have), an ad free version of the app should definitely be available. maybe i can extract the installed app, surely i will need to factory reset eventslly.

Curious, why can’t you supply a link to adfree for those of us that paid? You could host on Google Drive and only share with that email or similar. I’ve purchased other apps outside of Amazon appstore that were full versions to avoid ads. It is possible if you choose to do so.

Ad in the app is very moderate, it is made specifically to minimize the inconvenience.

The app will remain installed unless you uninstall it. However, this will not be updated from Amazon appstore as it’s not listed there.
You can update to the latest version from APK, but this will lead to lost of Full version.
It is not showing on the home page have to go through manage installed apps to launch it after side load. Is there a way round this
Hopefully there is a fix for this in an upcoming update. I have installed lots of things on fire 6th generation and they all appear in home screen. Perfect Player is the only one that doesn’t.

I’ve just put 1.4.7.3 onto it and it still won’t allow to put on the home screen. I did notice that manage storage was automatically set to allow however. Previous versions were set to deny.
Rolling back to 1.4.4 won’t work as it just asks me to update then closes down at the first opportunity.
You’d need no uninstall newer version first.
To transfer current app settings among versions you can use “Settings->Defaults->Backup/Restore settings” feature.
I have just installed 1.4.4 and it still does not work. Same thing happens.
Ive had the same issue as the app disappears from home screen and apps on Fire TV. I have to go to Applications > Manage Installed > Perfect Player > Launch for it to work. Rolling back to 1.4.4 doesn’t fix this, as the app completely disappears after any type of sideload. Any other sideloaded APK shows up no problem.
Found a solution, download appstarter. apk side load it open it and all your apps appear. This is an alternative to fire home screen

I tried follow the instructions to add to my Fire stick and I’m lost. I guess you have to be an expert to do all of that!
Hope this gets addressed soon – just bought a Fire TV on sale not knowing about this issue. If it isn’t fixed within the return time, the Fire TV goes back. I have 2 Firesticks that are working fine (PP installed before Amazon’s dumbass move) and have no desire to switch to an alterative app.
Hi All, for the homescreen issue, go to Settings – apps – force close the app store – settings – account – resync your amazon accounts – restart. give it a minute and the app will be back

I think it would be correct for the users who paid, the developer would provide the full apk.

already tried doing the steps listed above but the app will not show on the main page and only way to run it is via manage installed apps. sideloaded previous versions as well. Maybe its blacklisted by amazon and will not appear unless renamed?

Since it appears I am unable to update to the full version on my Fire Stick. Could someone please indicate whether the removal of this app from Amazon would cause or affect my EPG to no longer populate? I’m guessing my subscription has expired since I am now seeing ad’s being populated.

Surely Amazon wouldn’t fully remove it but I assume it depends on how many purchases were made via the Amazon AppStore Platform, if only a few, I’m sure they would and refund but not if it’s 1000s which is very likely…..
If you reinstall the app you’ll definitely lost “Full version”.
However, you’ll be able to “sideload” it from APK.
if you go into settings – applications – appstore, scroll down turn “hide cloud apps” off…. it should still show on your device even though not installed… just did this with a FB2… it is however an earlier version (not the newest update)
side loaded the latest (after deleting old version), works perfectly with 3 different providers added… just does not show on home screen, you need to go into settings – applications – manage installed apps and launch from there
just to add, I have now installed the appstarter app and i’m really impressed… PP does now appear on main page and it’s a lot cleaner and easier to navigate between your apps than on normal FTV home
I just bought a new firetv and same issue I slideloaded newest version and it wont show on homescreen but can launch from manage apps. Has anybody figured out how to fix this? if not can I clone one of my older firetv?

Yes, until you uninstall the app of reset the device to factory defaults.
If you want to make it simple to install on Fire devices please subscribe to using FireDL and a code. If a user has FireDL on their phone they can punch in a code and the latest PP install will happen on the Fire device. Of course FireDL needs to be installed on the Fire device also.

Im in that boat too, amazon have removed pp from the app store and if you remove it you can no longer get the full version which i actually paid for.
I have seen ad free versions of the software that has been modded. I think this would be the only option to get a version that doesnt have these stupid ads.
If the developer would give an option to get the full version for a small fee, im sure a lot of people would jump on board, but to actually offer nothing is quite amazing for the loyal followers.
But, i’m not able to see any channel:
I have installed many version (1.4.8.1 – 1.5.0 – 1.5.1beta )of PP with or without ad.. but i’m not able to see the icon on home (so i need to start PP from Appstarter or seting – app manager -ecc..) and many important i cann’t see any channel. The channel list was loaded well EPG also, but when i start channel blank screen appear like searching…
But the list is good becouse with other iptv app i see well…
is possible that amazon “kill” this app without possibility of reactions??

Okay I’m probably in the wrong area but I keep asking the same simple question and no one seems to be able to answer it. The newest perfect player 1.5.1 or whatever, where do I go to download that specific version for a fire TV stick 3rd generation?? I’m not talking about the NikLabs website. I’m talking from 3rd party people that use downloader or file explorer or Droid admin. Does anyone know where I can get the very newest version, again, from a third-party app? Greatly appreciated.

Hi Nikman love the app and it’s working great on my nvidia shield. However I notice that the rewind part, does not play the whole program it repeats like the first 5 min? Like on ITV rewind? Thoughts?

Ok will do now does every different channel have a different decoder? Or let’s say I use auto will this be auto for all? And I used to use HW+ is auto better?
Hardware actually works the best, and the buffer should be set on 4
That’s the default decoder in settings. You can also assign different decoder for individual channels in channels list context menu.
Not quite sure why my original question was removed, it was in regards sound on a particular IPTV channel and that channel not having any. The odd thing is that the sound works fine on my mobile and Windows PC, it just seems to be an issue on my FireTV. Spoke to IPTV provider and they have no idea what the issue could be. I’ve tried different Decoder options with no success, sometimes it would remain with no audio, a couple of the options, when used and the stream just wouldn’t load. Any suggestions for a paying customer?

So guys, are we now having an ad free version for our “paid” apps?! Otherwise I do not want to ask for refund, rather Niklabs should enable email validation for payment, so that by signing in with the activated email it can reactivate. I paid for both Amazon and Google versions. It is Amazons fault, but Niklabs should provide a definite alternative especially for those who paid!

Not quite sure what happened yesterday but Perfect Player no longer shows the home shortcut, it is still installed and I must launch from the App Settings Menu. I’ve not had this problem prior to yesterday but what I’ve also noticed today, is that Perfect Player is no longer showing within my Cloud Apps. I uninstalled, in hope I could re-install via my Cloud Apps and it no longer shows!
Has anyone else noticed this over the past couple of days?
I have another FireTV Box (gen.2) and that seems fine, it’s running the latest firmware and Perfect Player shows as normal. I was going to uninstall and see if it shows on my Cloud Apps but decided not too.
I have a 3rd FireTV (gen.2) and I’m going to reset and see if Perfect Player is showing in my Cloud Apps or not (I’ll update this post once checked).
It is strange that I’m only experiencing these issues now, especially as others noticed problems a long, long time ago!
*Previously when Perfect Player was within my Cloud Apps, I had no issues with the home shortcut disappearing. As it was in my Cloud Apps, the shortcut would show.
Ah well! Tested on my 3rd FireTV and Amazon have completely removed Perfect Player, even for those purchased (no longer shows in Cloud Apps). Running old firmware and although installed, shortcut does not appear! Totally pissed off!
[UPDATE] Shortcut has now disappeared from all 3 of my FireTV Boxes!
Can you not adjust the code of Perfect Player so it avoids the Amazon Blacklist? Surely this should resolve the issue of the shortcut not showing…..

I’ve been playing with my device online (Amazon) and I have managed to get Perfect Player to shop on my device, all of my devices and it shows as a cloud app and I’ve now installed without issue.
Either my messing about has got it to show or Amazon have placed it back on the App Store.
Is Perfect Player back on the store for everyone?
