    Hi nikman,
I have a X-Forwarded-For playliste that works on Kodi, but on Perfect Player nothing happens.
Am I doing something wrong? or do I have to enter something on User Agent?

    • nikman says:

Now it works only with Use native player option selected. However, some devices/firmwares may not accept X-Forwarded-For header.

    • barano says:

I tested the X-Forwarded-For Playliste on my Fire TV box with selected “use native player” option and nothing happend
then I test my normal playlist (without X-Forwarded-For)
with selected “use native player” option and nothing happend
I dont really know why, but if “use native player option” is selecten on Fire TV box then no channel works.

Later I tested the same X-Forwarded-For Playliste on my fire tv STICK and there it works, but sometime it takes some time (on kodi X-Forwarded-For it is faster)
maybe you can take a lock on it πŸ˜‰

And at last, thank you for the great support and your time to improve the App πŸ™‚

If someone has a fire tv BOX
can you test it with activated “use native player” option and say if it works

      • barano says:

I have reset the Fire TV box to factory settings..
And it seems that with activated β€œuse native player” the TV channel don’t work πŸ™

    Thanks! πŸ™‚

  3. Liridon says:

Hey Nik, is there an open for us to update channels logo from links that we want?
    Thanks!

    • nikman says:

Yes. You can modify your playlist to specify logos. Logos can be as local files or as network links. For ex:
      #EXTINF:-1 tvg-logo=”http://logosite.tv/mtv.png”,MTV

  4. Michele says:

hello i downloaded the app for Android, but the program does not find me my list IPTV in .m3u.
find the folder but can not find the file as if it were invisible. What am I doing wrong?

    • nikman says:

Do you see any other files there? Probably, you’ve entered wrong folder.
Also, you can enter direct file path to your m3u file.

    Thanks πŸ™‚

    • barano says:

      there is a bug

  6. Minder says:

    Hi Nik!
Can you help me what file so i need for epg, and short steps how to set it up, please?
    Thank you.

    • nikman says:

You need to find EPG source with programmes data for your channels. It can be either in XMLTV or JTV format. Then set its URL in Settings->General->EPG.
If some channels is not linked to EPG you can use EPG assign mode in Advanced settings.

  7. Mahamane says:

Do you sell the setting if yes how much

  8. Xhoan Lee says:

sorry I have not see that you offer a direct link download here, Sorry for this.

  9. Doctor Who says:

Hi Nik, any news about VOD handle? Thanks and keep up the good work! πŸ™‚

    • nikman says:

How exactly VOD streams marked in your playlist? Is there any sign to differ VOD from live streams?

      • Doctor Who says:

The only differences are that live streams are .ts files, while VOD are .mkv and there are different directories. Format of live streams is like http://sourcesite:port/live/user/password/name.ts while VOD streams are http://sourcesite:port/movie/user/password/name.mkv.
Thank you very much for investigating that. πŸ™‚

        • nikman says:

Currently, VOD presentation is supported by special provider’s versions and, also, can be implemented by means of plugins. You can make your own plugin for your specific resourse. Plugin should download your playlist and fetch mkv links from it. Use this link as refference point http://niklabs.com/for-developers/

          • Doctor Who says:

All this thing is very interesting, but you are overestimating me… I am not a developer, and I don’t know at all how to create that piece of software.
However, I can watch these VOD streams in PP, but just can’t do Rew/FF functions. Don’t see how a fetching plugin could add these features, if PP doesn’t have them in its internal video player.
            However, thanks for your reply.

  10. brapen says:

Can I use MX PLAYER WITH PERFECT PLAYER, if YES, how?

    • nikman says:

Can’t for now. Try it with/without Use native player option to find better playback experience.

  11. Doctor Who says:

Hi Nik… apart of REW/FF matter… I have a suggestion to improve PP. You could implement pressing OK on a title in the EPG grid, to view the detailed description of it. Just like right button when you are watching a title. That would be very useful.
    Thanks πŸ™‚

    • nikman says:

You can use “i” key/button to see detailed info of the selected EPG programme.

      • Doctor Who says:

I know that… but I haven’t an “i” key on my remote controller, so I should go to the “i” button every time! Plus, when you are in grid view you should highlight a program, then press “i”, then another one…
Think as using Perfect Player in an Android TV box… your software is the most similar to a TV receiver, it would be very useful to implement the same functions. πŸ™‚

        • nikman says:

I can’t see any possibilities to use OK button to show extended EPG info when channels list is showing. OK is used to play selected channel.
Another option you can use is switch to Details view mode.

          • Doctor Who says:

Maybe I didn’t explain myself well… I mean, when you are in channel list, you have on the left the list and on the right the grid of EPG with all events info. Moving cursor highlight a single event, you could implement the OK button to view extended information about it.
Instead, now there’s no effect (at least in my Android box). Of course, when you are in the left list, pressing OK changes channel.
Your work is great, with few improves can become a masterpiece. πŸ™‚
