Some users reported that the app crashes even without playback. Just by scrolling through channels/folders.
Could someone test if the app crashes:
– Even without adding playlist
– With Settings->Advanced->Download supposed logos checkbox unset
Just checked 1.5.0 without adding a playlist & logos unchecked and it has remained on for the last 20 minutes.
Just reinstalled my settings on a fresh version and after selecting a channel it isn’t staying on anything longer than 2 minutes. This is for all decoder options
The same channel lists that I have are loaded on the same release on my firestick and that isn’t having any issues.

Anyone who has this issue, please, inform the name of IPTV provider.
Looks like, the issue occurs only for one specific IPTV provider and is not related to the “NVIDIA SHIELD TV Experience Upgrade 7.2.1”.
The problem could be solved by the provider.
As a workaround you could unset Settings->Advanced->Download supposed logos checkbox.
The next app update will also has the fix for the issue.
