My setup:
Amazon Fire Stick (2nd gen)
2 IPTV providers
The problem:
The EPG just stops working after about a week. When this happens, I have to force stop PP and clear data, then re-enter my playlists and EPG settings, filter out the channel groups I don’t want, etc.
I’ve tried clearing the cache and restarting the fire stick, to no avail.
Is there an easier way to get the EPG working again? Or to avoid it stopping in the first place?
I have the same issue on 1 of 2 fire tv boxes. Same settings on both. The guide downloads and shows the correct channels. Only channels are listed, no guide info. How can this be fixed?
You need to add your EPG URL in Settings->General->EPG.
Use “EPG assign mode” to assign missed EPG data to channels.
Please, watch video tutorial to learn how to use this mode.
This configuration has worked before it just stopped. Have never had to assign anything, and 2 out of 3 boxes of mine work, plus several friends have the same problems.

EPG data is downoaded from a server. If there is no up-to-date EPG data on a server the app can’t show it.
So, make sure that EPG data at from your EPG source is up-to-date.
