I have a Url with a .tar extension for an epg but nothing happens. I unziped the file and opened in notepad and can see the epg but not opening in the player.
Is .tar supported.
TAR is supported. What do you mean “not opening”?
You should use Settings->Advanced->EPG assign mode.
Thanks for getting back.
I have two epg’s from the two iptv services I use, one is xmltv and I see that epg on the one using it, the other uses the tar file and nothing shows up.
Are you saying it is not automatic?
From what I see I can put in assign mode and grab the listings from the other epg xmltv file but the tar file no listing show so the other iptv is not getting from the tar url.
Is it not supposed to unzip by it itself or I am wrong.
Right now the tar url does not open and show the contents in the player
You can send me EPG URL for tests: email@example.com
XMLTV is supported in: gzip, zip, tar.gz, plain
