If I downloaded the android one already, is it beneficial to delete and use the one from the amazon store? I have a firetv box. Is there a difference between the two?
It’s just more natural to install the app from Amazon AppStore in your case and option to “Unlock Full version”.
When I always update on my Fire TV, I have to delete and then reinstall the new version.
You should be able to update the app if you install it from Amazon AppStore (not from APK).
Anyway, you can use Settings->Defaults->Backup/Restore settings.
Hi My name is moallim i want to install perfect player
My firestick updated automatically. It took four or five days longer compared to the Playstore version on my Android t95z box.
New Fire TV user. I’d really love to use Perfect Player, but I feel like I’m missing something. I’ve got my Fire TV connected to Ethernet, and have 40MB download speed. However, Perfect Player downloaded from the Amazon App Store from the Fire TV device crashes all of the time. It won’t load channel very fast (5 – 15 seconds on average), and it buffers a lot.
I have tried to change the decoder to use the different available settings, but it won’t ‘stick’. I change to Hardware, or HW+, then hit the back button, but when I check the setting again a few moments later, it is set back to Default. People love this application, and I went out and got a Fire TV just to use this application as there was no ROKU equivalent. This is why I am feeling like I must be doing something wrong for the experience to be so lackluster.
The post may sound like complaining, but I’m really after some strong suggestions as to how the software could be configured to be stable and responsive loading the channels.
I have also loaded ZalTV on the Fire TV, and it loads channel incredibly fast (faster than the cablebox from the cable company I am dumping), but it does not really have any sort of an EPG so it’s not really usable unless you already know what you want to watch.
Thanks for reading.
In the most cases, channels playback stability depends on IPTV servers performance, rather than end-user network bandwidth.
You can set common decoder in Settings->Playback->Decoder or for individual channels in channels list context menu.
Next app release will have fast startup feature and will startup immediately even with huge channels quantity (thousands).
Thanks, setting the Decoder globally seems to have helped some. A little less buffering, and a bit more speed loading some channels. I’ll try all of the decoder settings to see which one seems to give the best experience. I appreciate the assistance.
There seems to be an issue when first setting up perfect player. It crashes when reloading after an m3u url is entered and also after switching to show channels as folders. Then sometimes when using groups management mode. Once it’s all set up, it doesn’t crash again. Just during these set ups. Just started about a month ago. Using 1.4.4
When will version 1.4.6 be released on the amazon app store? It has been on the play store for since May 6th
Has perfect player now been Removed from Amazon Store?
Probably, that’s Amazon decision.
We recommend to “sideload” the latest version from APK.
