Hi, bought the app because it claims to have a “Preview” option like the screenshot above. However, in order to “Preview” any channel from that guide, I have to actually tune to it first.
I’m confused by why it’s called “Preview” if you cannot actually preview the channel before you tune to it. My understanding is that “Preview” means you can view the channel before you actually tune to it. Much like the “Preview” feature that you would find in the STB emulator android app, ProgTV android app, and many others do.
Would you be so kind to clarify this confusion with the term “Preview” since it appears to be misleading? Thanks!

Probably, we should modify the description to:
“Show currently playing channel preview”
This is more like another view mode option, to be able to see both extended EPG data (programme category and description) in all view modes and also what’s on air now.
This is a new function and probably it could be modified in the future.
Latest version on the shield – long press on the middle button no longer opens the menu. Just reloads the current channel. Have I done something silly?
Sometimes the issue happens with the Nvidia Shield’s remote control. Pressing several times (maybe harder) and it works again.
However, this never happens when using game-pad, keyboard, mouse, etc.
Looks like, the RC’s issue – the reason is low battery, contact bounce, firmware, hardware … don’t know yet.
I’m interested in the preview option but was unable to view it. Do you need the pro version? If not I could use some guidance. Thanks

Initial Oreo firmware update on Xiaomi Mi Box 3 is known to be buggy. You should check for the latest firmware updates.
Also, try to select different decoder in Settings->Playback->Decoder.

Based on anything else that I have purchased from Google Play, as long as all your devices are registered to the same google acct. it should end up being a 1 time buy. Not sure why it would be any different for this program.
The app will work in “Full version” mode on all of your Android devices running under your Google Play account.
I consider myself a power user on two TVs and not a lick of issues. Previoys beta had a bug that caused thr guide to stutter however fixed and works very seamless.
Love the new update and it works great. I have a question. Is there a way to auto play a group? Some groups are VOD of seasons and would be great to have it on auto play. Also, is there a way to rearrange the groups like we can rearrange the channels? Thanks for all you hard work!

the improvements are nice; but I have issues with the decoder.
if I test a channel with VLC it plays fine, it would also show on the PP App, but the Auto Decoder doesn’t tune it all the best, sometimes the other decoders don’t work or the picture and voice goes out of sync, even if AFR is enabled
I can send you a sample of several channels that the AUTO Decoder isn’t tuning properly
I have same issues on some channels too, no video, just sound (android TV).
On Samsung S8+ it’s even worse.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Try to assign different “Decoder” for that channels in channels list context menu or select different default decoder in Settings->Playback->Decoder.

This is by far the best application I have found for playing my IPTV m3u list subscription. The ‘preview’ mode in the EPG brings this as close to a true cable tv experience as it can get. The only suggestion I have so far for a future build is to have the option of putting the preview pane (along with the show description) at the top of the screen above the EPG grid. If this is already possible, bI apologize, but please reply with instructions.

AFR requires Android 6 or higher and also device must support it.
If you can enable AFR, then try to select different decoder in Settings->Playback->Decoder.

Perfect Player freeze and crash after 5 to 10 minutes when i watch in UHD with all decoder.
Looks like device specific issue.
Check for the latest firmware updates and that device coolers are mounted correctly.
It’s on MiBox 3 with last update.
With others player, i haven’t crash
I love this app. Is there any way can modify the AFR feature so the refresh rate is not changed when accessing the menu options please. Currently the AFR is setting 60hz when on menu but often channels are 24/50 and this slows down accessing the menu’s.
when will you add the xtream vod api? You have added the series api and it works superb… hoping to see this feature i the next release and also one click backup file ppbck integration. Keep up the good work!
Please consider a “time-out” option. Maybe after about a couple hours display a flashing message to press OK to keep the app running and shut it down if after a count down if it gets no response. Falling asleep while watching tv really kills the data. Thank you…

I have been using the application for more than a year without problems.
I have an IPTV M3U own playlist and a URL with its EPG.
With this new version, when I apply the EPG to more than 50 channels, after a short time of use, the player goes to NOT decode correctly, and no channel can be seen.
I have tried to change the type of decoder but it is not solved.
I have to go back to the default options and enter my m3U channel list again so that it plays correctly.
If only I do not have 35 channels with EPG, the problem does not occur.
I have a TV Box with Android 7.1
With the previous versions of Perfect Player I never had this problem.
Whether the channel could be reproduced, do not depend on whether it has an EPG or not. Also, there should no be any difference how many EPG channels have EPG.

I have a question. Is there anyway to add codec played such as “mx” or “yes” players? Lately my player has been buffering where the apk’s seem to have no problems, due to the fact they give you the option of using these players to optimize performance. Thanks

My provider mpeg 2 channels starts very slow on system decoder with mibox 3 intern, but if to set hw+ then it goes ok for video with no sound at all. Can you, please, check is it possible to fix hw+ decoder for all mpeg 2 standard streams. P.S. with program decoder it works but starts for 2-3 sec in slow motion not good for daily use.
Is there a way to skip channel numbers? For example to have Channel 1, 2 and then 5. In Kodi IPTV Simple Client you can by hiding channel groups but here using the same formula, it keeps sorting from 1 to N
anyway to add a favorites group, to make it easier to go into other than holding down on button to scroll down to show favories??

Is there any reason why my providers M3U URL will not pull anything through? Works fine on my 2nd fire stick which has the older version of perfect player on which I had paid for. But on my other fire stick which I had to sideload the new apk for perfect player it won’t pull my providers iptv through?
Shouldn’t be any difference. Make sure that your playlist is still available for download by its URL on your second device.

I have tried several to get PP it says its downloaded but no guide on screen on screen. Im trying with vaderstream
You have to enter EPG URL in Settings->General->EPG.

Then if there is no EPG, you should use Settings->Advanced->EPG assign mode to see and link EPG data to channels.
I have enteredplaylist url and epg url at least 20 times i get same result. Epg downloaded but there is no epg on the screen. I know i have entered proper credentials
When i put it on epg asign i get channel names like abc a+e ect. Some are just numbers. All have a 1 to far right. But nothing happens when i click on it

Можно ли установить свой плеер на воспроизводимое видео?. Просто во встроенном нет функции заполнение экрана и подогнать под размер, а некоторые каналы из моего плей-листа не на полный экран, и максимум что позволяет ваш плеер это 16:9, и остаются полосы по горизонтали.
В окне “Опции” можно выбрать нужное значение “Соотн. сторон” и “Увеличение”.
Или Вам не хватает какой-то конкретной комбинации этих параметров?
Hello. Ever since I’ve been trying to use the latest version of perfect player, it doesn’t generate any channels or epg. I’ve used perfect player (older version ) for years. I’ve entered the same m3u and epg info I’ve used with the older version. I’m on an Amazon Firestick
Make sure that your playlist and EPG still alive (available for download by URLs) and entered correctly in settings.
My me and epg are still working on another device. I have checked, double checked and triple checked the m3u and epg in the settings.

You could “sideload” the new app versions from APK. However, you’ll lost Full version, unless you install Google Play on Amazon device (read on Internet if it’s possible).

There is an issue as of yesterday when setting the decoder to HW+ doesn’t allow the stream to be played.
Здравствуйте! Использую полную версию на трёх устройствах и действительно как только обновил до последней версии, то перестал обновляться EPG и не подгружаются из папки иконки. Была мысль откатить на предыдущую версию, но потом попробовал EPG от epg.it999.ru и всё заработало, но старые ссылки нет.
Убедитесь, что данные EPG обновлены на серверах для ссылок которые “не работают”.
Будет возможность сравнить старую версию и новую сравню так ради технического интереса. Результат всё равно есть, пользуюсь уже год. Уважаемый Никман Вы не задумывались над тем чтобы создать что-то для MAG-250 для просмотра IP tv например портал?
