    GREAT! one thing that i would like to sugest only… on the xc playlist option… and that is to add a host url with user and pass option. it would be easier for those who use xc playlist… but this is a big step on its own… congrats.

    Very cool updates. Love resume catchup. Easy access to VOD from source select. Load time seems about 3x longer. Would love to see detailed stream info including FPS. Wondering what catchup icons are? Was hoping there would be an indication of catchup channels in EPG (like an asterisk indicating which channels offer archive without long press). Amazing work. Best program keeps getting better! Thank you!

      Catchup icon is displayed on those channels that have catchup available.
      Make sure you’ve changed playlist format from “M3U” to “XC” in Settings->General->Playlist->XC.

    I see the archive icon in EPG, and I see the listing for Archive in the menu which gives me a list of archived shows, but I’m unable to actually watch anything that’s archived. Is there a trick?

      Do you get infobar with channel’s info and red circle on archive start?
      You can try to select different Decoder in Settings->Playback->Decoder.
      Otherwise, please, give more details on the issue.

    I get the infobar but it shows the info for the current show on that channel, even if I select an earlier show, and I get the red circle. I’ve changed the decoders in both the global as well as the channel specific menus and same thing. Perhaps I have it configured incorrectly. The ONLY change I made was to select the XC radio button. Do I need to change the URL also? I’m using Eternal as my provider, if that makes a difference

      Were archive worked before (when “M3U” but not “XC” were selected)?

          Probably, you are doing this during data refresh. Please, wait for finishing data refresh and retry.

            I’m having a very similar situation as Rich G. I’ve upgraded to version 1.5.0.beta1. When I select “XC” in the Playlist Settings, the “Archive” option previously in the Context Menu disappears, and I no longer have visibility of any archived shows from earlier in the day as I had when “M3U” was selected. Note however, that even with the M3U selected, actual archived playback of any past shows would never kick in.

            My Playlist format is “|catchup=xc.

            Hope this helps in troubleshooting the issue. Maybe you can temporarily subscribe to either Rich G’s or my provider to experiment yourself. Just a suggestion.

            Perfect Player is an awesome product regardless of whether this issue is resolved. Thank you so much for all of your time, effort and continued development!

            Your IPTV provider could not activate “catchup” feature for any of the channels.
            Please, contact by email for further support.

    Seriously awesome update Nikman. Adding XC loggin is a game changer. PP was already my favourite IPTV app but would always keep smarters installed for vod/series. Brilliant work.

    Just what I have been waiting for, but unfortunately it is not fully working. After selecting xc the VOD and TV series folders which where originally there have disappeared. All the Live tv folders are available as long list (as before).

    I assume from your info there should be three groups IPTV, VOD and SERIES

      You should go to “Select source” window (third button in main menu) to select “IPTV”, “VOD” or “Series”.

        Thanks, That is brilliant and what makes this the best app by far for IPTV. There are just a few points:

        1. In Series when on the final episode selection the info is not displayed, seems to work at folder leve.

        2. Cathup does not always show video (only sounds). Tried using different decoders. This is on a FireTV Stick V2. Odd thing is that now and again it works with HW+

        3. With 2 Playlists where only one is selected. One IPTV is shown in Source as expected but VOD1 and VOD2 are both there.

        4. As an improvement maybe the selection should not be hidden under source, rather should be selected in the list or maybe there shoud be one upper menu with the IPTV.VOD and Series folders

        PS. The Epg and channel loading at startup is much
        quicker since only the IPTV epg and channels are now loaded separately from VOD and Series

    A problem that was solved for me in another update came back in this one – when I turn off my Mi Box while watching (I hit the power button which turns off the box and tv) – the box won’t resume properly when I turn it back on, it will display a frozen image from the broadcast when it was turned off and will be unresponsive and eventually crash on its own

    Nikman helped resolve my issues above with the Catchup feature not working….he gives fast and great support : ) Basically he had me change the decoder setting (wasn’t working in ‘Native’ or ‘Auto’ mode) to “HW+”. I’m using a Firestick. Also, I live on the east coast of the U.S., so I had to change the value in the link below to a “-5” (negative five) for the Catchup feature to properly start the correct program previously aired. So basically my URL looked like this once successfully setup:|catchup=xc catchup-source=-5

    That last number represents # of hours difference (varies depending on where you live / time zones).

    In the menu, three icon over from the left, I only have the option of IPTV or FILES. How do I get VOD and SERIES? Thank you.

      Make sure you’ve entered full Xtream-Codes playlist URL with username and password in Settings->General->Playlist.

          Technically, it’s not possible. However, you can still use your M3U playlist format.

    Hi. I have been using PP for many years and has worked on all devices except recently will not play any stream on my Fire HD tablet. Device will not update existing install either. Any advice appreciated.

    Very good, but it would be much better if you could choose the display mode of each folder, for example: Series and movies look better with table view, tv channels look better in list mode. ;D

    Great update! Only thing lacking is a shortcut for fire TV when sideloaded. I know Amazon pulled the app but could you please add a fire TV shortcut to the APK! Thanks

      – Make sure that your second playlist is still working (contact your IPTV provider)
      – Try to select different Decoder in Settings->Playback->Decoder

    They just had a and update to the shield, the 7.2.1. The player played fine with the 7.2 update but now with the 7.2.1 it crashes after about one minute. I tried uninstalling and then reinstalled, no good.

      I revise this. I also did the update on Plex today as well. I uninstalled that update and disabled it. Perfect Player works
      Perfectly now. Not sure if it was just the update of it or not.

      I was wrong about the deleting of Plex. Perfect Player is still
      Crashing. I have started fresh with the shield, deleted everything and reinstalled all apps. Perfect Player is still crashing after this last update.

        Looks like, Nvidia Shild TV’s 7.2.1 issue.
        What the Decoder is selected in Settings->Playback->Decoder?
        Please, try it with different Decoder selected.

          Negative. The buffer circle comes up and the app closes. Also, I am seeing from a few other people that it is happening as well and at least one person hadn’t updated their shield.

    Recently installed PP. Took 2 days to get familair with it. Thanks for the app.
    In the source ‘VOD’, there is a ‘For Adults’ folder keeps apprearing, even though I do not have ‘VOD’ selected in the ‘General’ –>’ ‘Playlist 1″. How do I hide or remove this folder or can i lock this VOD folder? Kids are at home…..
