In futur can we sort and manage vod and movie source?

  2. Tig says:

Maybe the search feature for movies in VOD section please, keep up the great work 👍

  3. Luke says:

Have added my Iptv provider that has 4 days catch-up. With XC mode all I can see is the last 24 hours. How do I access the other 3 days? Thank you

    • nikman says:

      Link
Anyway, you can manually select specific time in archive.

      • Luke says:

Can you make it so it shows more than days worth of catch-up for the EPG. My service has 4 day catch-up that works in STB Emu and the providers own app with full EPG for the past 4 days on 800 channels. The EPG does exist but perfect player is not displaying more than 1 days worth.

  4. Darren Marchand says:

Hi. Any way you can add the ability to reorganze channels?

  5. Darren Marchand says:

Im not seeing any catch up icon and i know some of the iptv channels have catch up. Please help.

    • nikman says:

Make sure you’ve select “XC” playlist format in Settings->General->Playlist->XC.

  6. Dan Shore says:

Hi, since the new update HW+ no longer works on my Android TV. I am able to watch using the hardware decoder however there is a difference in quality and the audio seems to be off on all channels. I used HW+ for years without issue.

    • nikman says:

What was the previous version of the app?
I doubt this could be due to the app upgrade. Rather streams format changed, device firmware upgrade, etc.

      • Dan Shore says:

I think it must have been 1.4.9.1 before. It could be something else that’s caused it and just a coincidence. It’s a shame as my TV doesn’t seem to like the HW decoder, getting blurry images and red ring when I change channels

        • nikman says:

Will the streams work with the “HW+” decoder if set playlist format to “M3U” or “XC”?

          • Dan Shore says:

Unfortunately not, I’ve tried both with no joy. I like the new XC though as it shows me which channels have catchup 🙂

          • nikman says:

I doubt the reason of the issue was 1.5.0 update. Was it with “XC” playlist format or with “M3U”?

  7. DAVID THORNTON says:

PP v1.5 is freezing up and then kicking me out on my Nvidia Sheild. I had no problems with this before today. No changes were made to anything in my set up other than this new release. My IPTV provider has an APK that I can watch my service thru and I have no problems there, but I prefer the layout and functions of PP. Have there been any other users reporting this issue? I know on my providers DISCORD group there is a few users there that are having similar issues that all started today as well. I normally use a short M3u URL, so I thought that might be the issue but I can’t even get it to stay stable long enough to change it. It freezes up while trying to type in the new URL. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Clearing the cache, rebooting my Shield. Would love to continue using PP if you have any suggestions.

    • nikman says:

Is the issue happening during playback? What the Decoder is selected in Settings->Playback->Decoder?
Stop playback as soon as possible, then select different Decoder in Settings->Playback->Decoder.

I also am finding some strange things with latest release. Whether i use the XC option or not, have a lot of channels that appear to be down. IF they do finally load there is lots of buffering, sync issues, freezing, looping, etc etc. Done all the usual stuff, clear cache, reboot, reinstall codecs, set to auto decoder… NOPE none of that helps at all. Also a really BIG thing i also found, was that over a few days usage… the app used up 2-3 GB of storage, and i mean the app itself NOT the cache. Normally the app / data runs less than 400 MB . Finally unistalled and went back to version 1.4.9 and everything is back to normal. This was occuring on an android 6.1 box. AND HW+ does NOT work properly in this latest version as previously stated.

NOTE : these problems occur across 3 different suppliers. 2 of them use Xtreme coses and one does not.

Hope all this might help you figure this out cause its kinda whacky .

  8. adam williams says:

Mines exactly the same, coincidentally Nvidia, did an update overnight to 7.2.1 so this may be causing a conflict?

  9. adam williams says:

Just checked the same release on my firestick and there’s no issues at all, i’m leaning towards the problem being update Nvidia did overnight.

  10. adam williams says:

Also checked all decoder settings on the shield and it doesn’t make any difference and the app closes shortly after starting to watch live tv

  11. Damir says:

    **REQUEST**

Can you please seperate the decoder settings for live and vod?

  12. 6Hzzz says:

Japanese EPG does not display properly:

  13. EPG says:

It does not fetch the EPG from XC automatically? It does still need to be entered manually? Is it a feature that is coming?

    • nikman says:

EPG source will be automatically added for XC playlist if there are no other EPG sources added in settings yet.

      • cubimol says:

Please include EPG whenever XC is selected. When someone does not want automatic EPG, it will always be possible to select M3U or XSPF.

  14. Roy says:

I’m using Perfect Player on two Android devices…The nvidia shield…and android phone Note 8…it wont let me check the Preview box for the pip function…everything else wurks fine…I’m also using it on Amazon 4k firestick…it will let me check the box for preview there so I can use the pip function…is there any reason why it wont let me use the preview functions on those two devices ???

But like i said it let’s me do it on the fire stick…just wondering???
    Hope u can help…

  15. Richie says:

Any setting for parental control (adults channels)?

    • nikman says:

      1. Set Settings->GUI->PIN code
      2. Select a channel or a group and in context menu select “Lock channel” or “Lock group”
      3. Repeat 2-nd step for other channels and groups

  16. David says:

I am trying to get my channel list on my firestick. It says it need M3U URL and EPG URL

  17. Chris says:

Nikman, can you clarify what is possibly going on. There’s a handful of VOD content from my IPTV provider that plays fine on Perfect Player 1.5.0 on my Amazon 4k firestick and the Perfect Player app on my S7 Edge phone. On my 1st and 2nd generation firesticks with Perfect Player 1.5.0 the same VOD content plays with sound but no image. I’ve tried all decoders with no success. I’m confused as they do play fine on 1 fire device and my phone but don’t on 2 older firestick models. Is this an app compatability issue with these older firesticks? Can anything be done? Many thanks for your response.

    • nikman says:

Probably, some device-specific issue. You should check for the latest device firmware updates.

      • Chris says:

Nikman, thank you for your response. Can I send you an account to test for me please as im still experiencing above issue on 1st and 2nd Gen Firesticks whilst using Perfect Player version 1.5.0 I have ensured both devices are using the latest firmware version available. I would really appreciate your feedback on the matter as your app is my favourite go to app. Thankyou

  18. Frank says:

Is there a setting to get Perfect Player to import more then 1 day of EPG. I check the EPG and it contains 7 days of EPG data.

    • nikman says:

All EPG data is loaded. You will see programmes for up to 12 hours ahead after each update.
